Cathy Russell (Board Member) is a longtime advocate for the arts, and patron of the theater in Denver and New York. Cathy is an Administrative Assistant in The Douglas County School District, for 14 years, and works very closely with the Theatre Department at Mountain Ridge Middle School. Cathy spent many years as a full time mother of three, with the children ending up in various educational and theatrical professions. She has recently enjoyed the role of Grandma since the birth of her first Grandson. Cathy also enjoys cooking, as well as traveling to warmer locations. She looks forward to the future of Front Range Theater and its ability to impact the Denver theater community.
Heather Spillman (Board Member) Heather Spillman has been involved in theater, tv and movies for 20+ years. Before kids she was a P.A., Wardrobe Asst. and Extras Wrangler for movies and tv shows filmed in Colorado. Her son's years of involvement in professional theatre has gained her plenty of contacts in the local arts community. She is currently in her 4th year on the Board of Directors for Magic Moments Inc. and, along with her kids, has been in five Magic Moments productions. She also brings the of experience sitting on several advisory and financial committees at her church. You can see her every Thursday morning on 9news as a Proctor Protege. In her down time she likes to spend time with her husband of 25 years, 16yo daughter and 14yo son, going to local theater and concerts, and creating beaded jewelry. Both of her kids and her husband are lovers of theater, performers and accomplished musicians!
Sally Wakefield (Board Member) is a business administration graduate of Regis University and a retired Contract Negotiator from Lockheed Martin's Flight Systems Division. She enjoys spending as much time as possible with family and friends, painting, gardening and enjoying other hobbies while looking for new challenges and interests to undertake. She has volunteered previously for numerous organizations, but greatly enjoys her time spent with FRTC, sharing her previous business experience with the board.
Michael Wakefield (Board Member) spent many years in the Evergreen Players community theater, with leading roles in The Fantastiks, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, Dracula, and a few melodramas. He is a retired Engineering Manager from Lockheed Martin’s Advanced Space Systems, and is a member of The Sound of the Rockies men’s barbershop chorus, which is currently ranked 4th in the Barbershop Harmony Society out of 700 choruses. He also sings in a Valentines Day quartet called “The Heart Throbs”. Mike brings years of creativity and critique experience to the Board.
