"We Were Blessed" By Greg Bell
“We Were Blessed” is an unlikely hero story. From 1920’s Massachusetts, comes the amazing story of Abigail Schiller. Everyone who meets her comes to love her, because she loved them first. It is a story about innocence, and its confounding power. Innocence, thought to be fragile, can be the strongest of all.
MEET THE PLAYWRIGHTGregory Bell has been a volunteer, stage performer and the accountant for Castle Rock Players, Inc./Front Range Theatre Company since 2002. He has been a volunteer for virtually every production, and has performed in almost 20 productions, melodramas, and radio plays, including Andersonville Trial, The King and I, Arsenic and Old Lace, Miracle on 34th Street, and 2 productions of A Christmas Carol. Recently, he performed in “Fancy Nancy – The Art of Being Fancy”. More recently, FRTC produced Gregory’s first offering as a playwright, “We Were Blessed”. So, as a recent first-time playwright himself, he very much appreciated FRTC’s faith and mentoring, and is now more than willing to ‘pay it forward’ by mentoring other first-time playwrights.
Gregory lives in Castle Rock with his wife, Bonnie, and five cats, in that order. He is a CPA and has his own bookkeeping and tax business. Most recently, Gregory has also begun voice acting services! He wishes to thank his wife for putting up with him, and supporting his love of history, and theatre. |
